Hi friends This week I wanted to share my thoughts on the summer. Especially how it’s been a remarkable time highlighting the most deserving and talented black women in their respective fields. Women have been making amazing strides in education, expanding their numbers in STEAM and finally getting more recognition in the arts. Lauren Scruggs was the first black woman to win an individual medal in fencing. Simone Biles has officially become the most decorated gymnast of all time winning gold and then silver in the Olympics. Simone shot back some shade at some of her detractors, one in particular by posting herself with the Olympic team after their gold win. Kamala Harris is also going full steam ahead with her campaign and today announcing Tim Walz as her running mate.
