The Rafah border crossing, which links Egypt to Gaza, is a pivotal crossing point for many, but Egypt normally keeps the borders closed, claiming security reasons. A committee of Palestinian travelers stranded in the Gaza Strip protested the closure outside the Ministry of Civil Affairs in Gaza City on Wednesday. According to the Ministry, around 25,000 Palestinians, including students and cancer patients, are stuck in the Gaza Strip, awaiting the opening of the border. Protesters called on Egyptian and Palestinian authorities to assure a rapid, proper and permanent opening of the crossing to alleviate their suffering. Noor Harazeen reports from Gaza for teleSUR
