Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy conducted aerial survey of landslides and flood-hit regions in Kodagu on Saturday. He said, “Our district administration is taking proper care. There is no anxiety. In Kodlugar village, nearly 60 people are there. Army has reached there but there is problem in shifting them. Even the Army Captain said people need to be airlifted. We are trying to arrange helicopters but weather is not permitting it. I have done the aerial survey and have seen two-three major landslides. Other than that, there is not much damage. Already 2,500 people have been evacuated and settled in community halls. For them, all necessities are being supplied by NGOs and even people are donating things.”
