At least 40 Jawans killed in suicide attack on CRPF Convoy in J&K

At least 40 CRPF jawans have been killed and many others injured in an improvised explosive device (IED) blast at Lethpora on the Jammu-Srinagar highway. The blast, triggered by militants, targeted two vehicles carrying the CRPF jawans. Militant group Jaish-e-Mohammad has claimed responsibility for the blast and said it was a fidayeen attack carried out by a local youth. The vehicle belonged to 54 battalion of the CRPF. Jammu and Kashmir police are investigating the terror attack.
