President Moon Jae-in is inviting Korean War veterans for lunch at the top office today,... a day before South Korea marks the 69th anniversary of the outbreak of the conflict.
The presidential office says the invitation comes as the top office wants to treat the vets with honor and respect.
President Moon is expected to relay his appreciation for their sacrifice and devotion to peace.
Some 180 veterans, the defense and patriots and veterans affairs ministers as well as the commander of U.S. Forces Korea will join the luncheon.
